APPLETON — Two men are out of the hospital after being shot about 1 a.m. Sunday in downtown Appleton.

Appleton police were sent for a shots fired call in the 500 Block of West College Avenue.

When they arrived, officers found two men had been shot.

Police say the victims are a 24-year-old Milwaukee man and 39-year-old Menasha man.

They were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.

Officers secured the scene and did not locate any additional victims, according to a news release.

Investigators believe the incident was isolated, but did not indicate if they believed the shooter was still on the loose.
